The emission continua of the dissociative transitions B (1) Sigma(u)()-X (1) Sigma(g)(+), B' (1) Sigma(u)(+)-X (1) Sigma(g)(+), C (1) Pi(u)
-X (1) Sigma(g)(+), and D (1) Pi(u)-X (1) Sigma(g)(+) of molecular hyd
rogen have been calculated. Synthetic spectra of H-2 are in excellent
agreement with high-resolution electron-impact-induced emission spectr
a obtained at 100 eV. An improved calibration standard is obtained, an
d the dissociation yields of the Lyman and Werner continua produced by
electron-impact excitation are presented.
