Solid superbases with basic strength up to H_ greater than or equal to 37 c
an be prepared by a treatment of the carriers such as gamma-alumina and MgO
successively with alkali metal hydroxide and alkali metal under nitrogen o
r with cesium acetate followed by calcination at 700-750 degrees C in vacuu
m. The catalytic activity of such superbases was studied in the double bond
