Pleomorphic hyalinized angiectatic tumor of soft parts is a recently descri
bed neoplasm that most commonly affects the lower extremities. It is locall
y aggressive but has not been known to metastasize. This article presents a
case of a softball-sized tumor on the dorsum of the foot that was identifi
ed as pleomorphic hyalinized angiectatic tumor of soft parts. Previously, i
t would have been misdiagnosed and treated as either a neurilemoma or a mal
ignant fibrous histiocytoma.
