Abstract
In order to investigate the magnetic structure of Fe-Tb amorphous thin film s, we have performed magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) measurements by usin g the circularly polarized X-rays at the Fe K- and the Tb L2,3-edges in Fe8 8Tb12, Fe80Tb20, and Fe62Tb38 In all samples, the spin-dependent absorption effects, Delta mu t, were observed. Also, elementary information was obtai ned on the spin polarizations of the p- and the d-projected electrons lying in the unoccupied states near the Fermi levels in the samples.
