Abstract
The usual Jordan canonical form for matrices is extended first to nilp otent elements of the socle of a nondegenerate Jordan algebra and then to elements of a nondegenerate Jordan algebra which is reduced over a n algebraically closed field. (C) Elsevier Science Inc., 1997.
