A. Fredriksson et al., In vivo evaluation of the biodistribution of C-11-labeled PD153035 in ratswithout and with neuroblastoma implants, LIFE SCI, 65(2), 1999, pp. 165-174
The biodistribution of C-11-labeled 4-(3-bromoanilino)-6,7-dimethoxyquinazo
line an inhibitor of the epidermal growth factor (EGF) receptor tyrosine ki
nase, has been evaluated in vivo in rats using positron emission tomography
(PET). Time-activity data obtained after i.v. administration in one rat re
vealed that the radiotracer rapidly cleared from plasma with subsequent upt
ake in major organs of the body (brain, heart, liver, gastrointestinal trac
t and bladder). Uptake in proliferating tissue in rats with human neuroblas
toma xenografts indicate that [O-C-11-methyl]PD153035 shows promise as a ne
w agent for in vivo imaging of tumors with PET.
