The definitions of Knowledge Management (KM) on hand are various, even cont
radictory. The following article proposes an interdisciplinary definition.
Based on this definition, Knowledge Management is discussed in the area of
conflict of human resource management and organisational structures. New jo
b outlines and also the implementation strategies of diverse European compa
nies are described. Then, several starting points of KM solutions and funct
ionalities are presented. In this context, the articles gives an introducti
on of new providers and products in the international KM market. The author
s discuss in detail the strategic aspects of KM solution introductions and
give an outlook onto future development.
