R. Chaturvedi et Dp. Roy, Non reflecting boundary conditions and their use in estimating the effectsof coolant channel failure in a PHWR, NUCL ENG DE, 188(3), 1999, pp. 345-360
Non reflecting boundary conditions are applied to the truncation boundary o
f large domains to restrict the domain to a small region of interest from w
hich waves travel only outwards. In this paper, this procedure is used to c
alculate the pressure field in the moderator of a pressurized heavy water r
eactor after a coolant channel has failed. Non reflecting boundary conditio
ns are applied to the moderator boundary while a perfectly reflecting bound
ary is assumed for the channels. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights
