Abstract
Parameters < (R) over bar >, < <(ER)over bar> > of gamma-hadron families wi th a visible energy Sigma E-gamma greater than or equal to 100 TeV are anal ysed with the aim to prove their sensitivity to the mass composition of pri mary cosmic rays (PCR). The experimental values of these parameters are in agreement with the assumption that PCR become enriched with CNO nuclei at a n energy greater than or equal to 10(16) PeV.
