Abstract
A large body of evidence from lattice calculations indicates that instanton s play a major role in the physics of light hadrons. This evidence is summa rized, and recent results concerning the instanton content of the SU(3) vac uum, instanton contributions to the static potential, and a new class of in stanton solutions at finite temperature are reviewed.
