In the framework of Dirac quantization, the SU(2) Skyrmion is canonically q
uantized to yield the modified predictions of the static properties of bary
ons. We show that the energy spectrum of this Skyrmion obtained by the Dira
c method with the suggestion of generalized nnomenta is consistent with the
result of the Batalin-Fradkin-Tyutin formalism. [S0556-2821(99)05611-8].
