Abstract
A new amino acid derivative, N-5-(4-methoxyphenyl)methyl-L-glutamine was fo und in the xylem sap from squash root. The structure was deduced from spect roscopic data and identified by chemical synthesis. (C) 1999 Elsevier Scien ce Ltd. All rights reserved.
