Abstract
The effectiveness of cone calorimeter was evaluated in measuring post-ignit ion parameters of polyurethane rigid foams for building insulation. The app aratus allowed to sufficiently screen the fire behaviour of different sampl es in spite of both the reduced dimensions of specimens and the low density of the material. The patio between parameter peak values and relative time appears more meaningful than the sole peak value. (C) 1999 Elsevier Scienc e Ltd. All rights reserved.
