Thermal characteristics of board materials, both raw ones and those finishe
d with different veneers and varnishes, obtained by performing measurements
on a cone calorimeter with heat fluxes of 30 and 60 kW/m(2) are presented
in the paper. Moreover, emissions of toxic products of thermal decompositio
n and combustion of boards ar 600 degrees C were determined. The thermal de
composition and combustion were carried out in a static system by a chamber
method. Quantitative analysis of emissions for CO, CO2 and NOx content was
