Abstract
The YBa2-xSrxCu4O8 (0.1 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.9) solid solutions and the YBa2Cu4O8 + nAg (3 less than or equal to n less tha n or equal to 8 wt %) mixed compositions are synthesized under the normal p ressure using mechanochemical activation of the initial components. The deg radation of the synthesized ceramics under the action of CO2 and water vapo r is studied by X-ray phase and thermogravimetric analyses.
