A new effect, spin-polarized magnetovoltage (MV) effect, is observed i
n an 81NiFe/Al2O3/Fe junctions with cross-strip-electrode configuratio
n. When one ferromagnetic electrode carries current, a voltage can be
found between the ends of the other ferromagnetic electrode, and it va
ries with the magnetization process of the two ferromagnetic electrode
s. The MV ratio, which is much larger than the magnetoresistance ratio
for the same junction, has reached 53% at room temperature.
