Abstract
An improvement of a previous study for estimating the permeate flux of holl ow-fiber membrane ultrafiltration has been made. The improvement was achiev ed by removing an unrealistic condition on the declination of permeate flux near the fiber outlet and the requirement of estimating the solute diffusi vity at a condition corresponding to that existing at the membrane surface.
