Abstract
The introduction of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) into natural wa ters is considered in terms of both point and non-point source discharges t o surface, ground and drinking water. The occurrence of PAHs has been evalu ated with regard to their concentrations in some aqueous samples and freque ncy of occurrence. In addition, an overview of the capabilities of the curr ently available analytical techniques is given along with requirements for achieving reliable analysis of PAHs in various environmental water samples.
