Abstract
The final results of a two years (1992 - 94) research project, funded by the European Union (EU), are presented in this paper. The performan ce of trickling filter filled with new types of plastic media, was inv estigated in terms of organic and nitrogen loading elimination. Our pi lot showed a treatment stability at organic loading reduction and nitr ification never stopped. Two models are presented for both organic and nitrogen loading elimination, based on statistical analysis of mean m onthly results.
