Abstract
This technical note presents a broad overview of a graphical modeling system referred to as the Graph-Based Modeling System for Structured M odeling (GBMS/SM) and its applications in model management. GBMS/SM is a comprehensive modeling system that supports model formulation, main tenance and solution. The model schema in GBMS/SM is specified using a graphical user interface and is based on a modeling framework called model graphs. These graphs are based on the core concepts of Structure d Modeling. GBMS/SM has links to relational database tables and spread sheets and supports a wide variety of applications belonging to differ ent domains. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
