Z. Czovek et al., Atomic spectrometric determination of vanadium in oils using different sample pretreatment methods, ACH-MODEL C, 136(1-2), 1999, pp. 95-101
A bomb calorimeter was modified for the pretreatment of oil and other organ
ic samples that can be digested with difficulty for analysing their metal c
ontents. In the case of digestion of these sample types, the efficiencies o
f ashing, microwave digestion and burning in bomb calorimeter were compared
. These sample pretreatment methods were considered from the point of view
of the extraction and determination of vanadium. The total vanadium, V-IV a
nd V-V concentrations were studied in ashes obtained by burning oils at dif
ferent temperatures.
