T. Han et R. Sobey, TRIPLE ELECTROWEAK GAUGE BOSON PRODUCTION AT FERMILAB-TEVATRON ENERGIES, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 52(11), 1995, pp. 6302-6308
We calculate three-gauge boson production in the standard model at Fer
milab Tevatron energies. At root s = 2 TeV in p (p) over bar collision
s, the cross sections for triple-gauge boson production are typically
of the order of 10 fb. For the pure leptonic final states from the gau
ge boson decays and with some minimal cuts on final state photons, the
cross sections for p (p) over bar --> W(+/-)gamma gamma, Z gamma gamm
a, and W(+)W(-)gamma processes are of the order of a few fb, resulting
in a few dozen clean leptonic events for an integrated luminosity of
10 fb(-1). The pure leptonic modes from other gauge boson channels giv
e a significantly smaller rate. Especially, the trilepton modes from W
+W-W-+/- and t (t) over bar W-+/- --> W+W-W+/- yield a cross section o
f the order of 0.1 fb if there is no significant Higgs boson contribut
ion. For a Higgs boson with m(H) similar or equal to 2M(Z), the triple
-massive-gauge boson production rate could be enhanced by a factor of
4-6.
