Abstract
Different modifications concerning the efficiency and the convergence abili ty of the modified simplex method were evaluated for four test functions. T he evaluations showed that both the efficiency and the convergence ability of the simplex method will probably be enhanced by implementing a degenerac y constraint. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
