Abstract
Trumpeter Swans, Cygnus buccinator, have established a nesting population i n the Greenwater Park - Porcupine Forest Area of Saskatchewan. Further expa nsion of the population into available habitat might not occur because of l ack of winter habitat being used by Trumpeter Swans. The long-term decision regarding management of Trumpeter Swans must be shared between the Canadia n Wildlife Service, the United States Fish and Wildlife Service and the Wil dlife agencies in the provinces and states where the swans currently nest, winter and could potentially winter.
