Abstract
Umpolung of ring strain by intramolecular Sn-N Lewis acid-Lewis base intera ction is the key for the synthesis of the first organoelement oxides of the type (Ph2SiOR2SnOMO) [R = (CH2)(3)NMe2; M = (Bu2Sn)-Sn-t, (Bu2Ge)-Ge-t, Ph B] which hold potential as precursors to tertiary metal oxides.
