Abstract
Nanoscale Pd(OH)(2) was prepared by azeotropic distillation process for the first time, and its structure was characterized by high resolution TEM, DL S and UV-Vis absorption spectrum. The results show that the particle size o f the prepared Pd(OH)(2) is of 37.3 nm and the particles are face-centred c ubic polycrystalline, The prepared Pd(OH)(2) nanosized particles show a hig her catalytic activity than 20% Pd(OH)(2)/C in the catalytic hydrogenolysis of 2,4,6,8,10, 12-hexabenzyl-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazaisowurtztane (HBIW),
