Abstract
A new detailed gravity survey (spatial sampling of about 1 pt/km(2) and fin al error on complete Bouguer anomaly less than 1.1 mGal) has been carried o ut in the vicinity of Mont Lozere, Cevennes, southeast France. These new da ta, collected in the framework of GeoFrance 3D French program of crustal im agery, fill one of the gaps in the French gravity map. Also, the survey all ows a local study of the buried structures of the Mont Lozere granitic body . Indeed, within the Massif Central project, which is specifically devoted to the understanding of ore deposition mechanisms, our data are expected to highlight the location of hydrothermal palaeochannels around the pluton. A lready, qualitative interpretations of the residual Bouguer anomaly map pre sented in this study have revealed some clear geometrical characteristics o f the pluton.
