Abstract
After the diachronic cartographic analysis of Marin Bay (Martinique), the c onceptors discovered a quick progradation of the shore in the bay. Measurem ents of erodibility were taken on the square metre scale, in different vege tal covers then extrapolated to the watershed scale. It appears that cultiv ated areas mostly intensively release the biggest contents of soil particle s. But bathymetric and current aspects do not aid the evacuation of these p articles when they settle in the bay. One can conclude that the transformat ions of the natural landscape (accretion of coasts) are linked with the tra nsformations of soil occupation modes. (C) Academie des sciences/Elsevier, Paris.).
