Abstract
Spectral absorption cross sections, averaged over the rotational structure, are given for 60 electronic and vibrational systems of bands of diatomic m olecules C-2, C-2(+), C-2(-), CN, CO, CO+, N-2, N-2(+), NO, NO+, O-2, and O -2(+). A computational model is described that involves calculations of mat rix elements of transitions with ab initio functions of dipole moments and dipole moments of electronic transitions and with vibrational wave function s calculated with RKR-potentials. The model and calculation data on the abs orption cross sections are intended for use in problems of radiation gas an d plasma dynamics, as well as of radiative heat transfer in the physics of low-temperature plasma.
