An experimental investigation is performed of the process of "flooding" in
vertical tubes at a pressure P = 0.3-1.6 MPa. The correlation between the f
low rates of the phases under conditions of flooding is investigated, as we
ll as the hydrodynamic characteristics of annular countercurrent how (liqui
d film thickness, coefficient of interfacial friction, pressure drop over t
he channel height). The physical mechanism of the development of the "flood
ing" process with increasing steam flow rate is treated, along with the eff
ect of the geometric and process parameters.
