Liquid films, foams and emulsions

Studies of thin liquid films, made from surfactant solutions, are presented . The film drainage and the interaction between film surfaces are character ized with an experimental device called "Thin Film Balance". Cases where fi lm stratification is observed will be discussed. These experiments allow to model thin films which form between bubbles and drops in foams and emulsio ns respectively.
