Spray or mixing layer combustion is concerned with the specific feature tha
t the medium is largely non-homogeneous (in phase, species and temperature)
, In consequence, numerical approach requires the use of a method accountin
g for large variations of fluid density. We report results performed with a
"low Mach number flow" method which efficiently describes the transient as
pects of ignition, A particular configuration is investigated: a double mix
ing layer GH(2)-LOx-GH(2), subjected to Kelvin-Helmholtz instability. This
study gives the opportunity for complementary investigations about triple f
lames which master ignition in nonhomogeneous media.
