Abstract
A new cutting took, Xu-Tech hacksaw blade, is introduced in this paper. Xu- Tec hacksaw blades are made of low carbon steel or low alloy steel, then tr eated by the Xu-Tec process which is a novel surface alloying technique as well as carburizing which is a novel surface alloying technique as well as carburizing, quenching and tempering. The toothed edges of the hacksaw blad es have similar chemical composition with high speed steel. Their cutting p erformance meets the British Standard Specification of Bimetal High Speed S teel Hacksaw Blades.
