Abstract
We report here the synthesis of a new compound, Gd2PdGe3, crystallizing in a AlB2-derived hexagonal crystal structure and the results of electrical re sistivity, magnetoresistance, heat-capacity and magnetic susceptibility mea surements down to 2 K. The results suggest that this alloy orders antiferro magnetically below 10 K, exhibiting significant negative magnetoresistance over a wide temperature range above 10 K.
