On the non-uniqueness of solution for screw dislocations in multiply connected regions

Solution for screw or edge dislocation in multiply connected regions is not unique in the sense that it depends on the cut along which displacement di scontinuity is imposed. If the connectivity of the region is n, there are t hat many different solutions. This is demonstrated by considering screw dis location in a hollow cylinder and near cavity in an infinite medium.
