Abstract
Thermal decomposition of perfluoro(dimethylaminoacetic) acid alkali salts w as carried out at 220-310 degrees C. A potassium salt gave CF3N=CF2 as the principal product in moderate yield, together with CF3N=CFCF3 and (CF3)(2)N CF=CF2. Sodium and lithium salts gave (CF3)(2)NCF=CFN(CF3)(2) and (CF3)(2)N CF2C(O)X (X=F, OH) as the main products. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
