Abstract
The Fourier transform infrared and Raman spectra of trans-[CrCl2(H2O)(4)]Cl . 2H(2)O were studied. The FTIR spectra of a series of partially deuterate d compounds were also recorded and served as a basis for assigning some of the observed bands. An interesting temperature dependence was observed for some of the nu(O-D) bands in the FTIR spectra of samples containing isotopi cally isolated HOD molecules.
