Abstract
A set of self-consistent thermodynamic model parameters is presented to des cribe the phase equilibria of Pd-Pb (palladium-lead) system. Sublattice des cription is used for thermodynamic modeling of the intermediate phases, The phases of invariant stoichiometry are described by a two-sublattice model and beta Pd5Pb3 and gamma Pd5Pb3 phases with ranges of stoichiometry are de scribed by a three-sublattice model. The calculated values with optimized m odel parameters agree very well with various experimental data.
