Abstract
Porphyrin-centered star-shaped polymers were synthesized through living cat ionic ring-opening polymerization of 2-methyl-2-oxazoline employing tetra(p -chloromethylphenyl)porphyrin (CMPP) and its zinc complex as initiators. Th e polymers were characterized by GPC, H-1 NMR and UV-vis and their properti es were examined by fluorescence quenching. (C) 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd .
