Abstract
Neuropathic pain is a major world wide medical problem. rain is the sensory modality that signals tissue destructive stimuli to the organism and initi ates protective reflexes. Damage to roots, plexi, nerves or central pain pa thways to the organism is neuropathic pain. This article explores some of t he clinical aspects and basic mechanisms of neuropathic pain.
