Abstract
Microbial transformation of the germacranolide parthenolide using Rhizopus nigricans, Streptomyces fulvissimus and Rhodotorula rubra yielded three new compounds: 11 alpha H-dihydroparthenolide, 9 beta-hydroxy-11 beta H-dihydr oparthenolide and 14-hydroxy-11 beta H-dihydroparthenolide. 11 beta H-dihyd roparthenolide was the only common metabolite produced by all microorganism s.
