Abstract
From the stem bark of Xylopia aromatica (Annonaceae), have been isolated tw o new labdane dimers as their methyl esters, together with the known compou nds ent-labda-8(17),13(16),14-trien-18-oic acid, sitosterol and stigmastero l. The structures of the dimers were elucidated on the basis of detailed sp ectroscopic analyses. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
