Abstract
The reaction of metallic palladium with a solution of iodine in N,N'-dimeth ylformamide (DMF) was studied. The [(CH3)(2)NH2](2)[(Pd2I6)(DMF)(2)] compou nd was isolated. A plausible mechanism of its formation is proposed.
