Computer simulation of nonsteady thermophysical processes in a multichannel
mold where cylindrical ingots are solidifying is undertaken. On the basis
of the corresponding mathematical model, a numerical algorithm and program
for the solution of the three-dimensional nonsteady problem are developed.
The dynamics of temperature-field variation in the mold - ingot system is i
nvestigated. The conditions determining the development of the mold thermos
tress state are analyzed.
