In the present work we explore the possibility to deposit CdS/polyaniline c
omposite films through an electrochemical route. The films were generated e
lectrochemically on fluorine-doped tin oxide coated glass substrates from t
he electrolyte containing mixture of CdS particle solution and aniline mono
mer solution in an acidic medium. The average particle size in the electrol
yte was around 30 Angstrom and no considerable increase in the particle siz
e was observed after the film formation. The presence of CdS clusters was c
onfirmed from optical absorption spectra, photoluminescence spectra, XRD an
d TEM. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
