Abstract
We prove that the knot invariant induced by a Z-homology 3-sphere invariant of order less than or equal to k in Ohtsuki's sense, where k greater than or equal to 4, is of order less than or equal to k 2. The method developed in our computation shows that there is no Z-homology 3-sphere invariant of order 5.
