Abstract
Aerococcus urinae, an uncommon urinary tract pathogen, was recently shown t o cause septicaemia and endocarditis in a few patients in Denmark and the N etherlands. In Austria this is the first report of a fatal course of endomy ocarditis by Aerococcus urinae, associated with multiple septic infarcts.
