Abstract
GOAL
To convey the basic concepts of topical corticos-steroid use.
OBJECTIVES
1. Describe the pharmacological actions and adverse effects associated with
topical corticosteroids.
2. Identify potential scenarios when percutaneous absorption of topical cor
ticosteroids may be enhanced.
3. Describe specific parameters that steer corti-costeroid selection and ap
plication.
4. Identify-potential dermatological indications for use of topical cortico
steroids.
