Vb. Di Marco et al., Complex formation between aluminium(III) and two pyridine derivatives: 2-hydroxynicotinic and 3-hydroxypicolinic acid, ANN CHIM, 89(7-8), 1999, pp. 535-546
The chemical interactions between aluminium(III) and two pyridinic ligands
of possible biological relevance, 2-hydroxynicotinic acid (HNic) and 3-hydr
oxypicolinic acid (HPic), in aqueous 0.6m (Na)Cl at 25 degrees C, have been
investigated by means of potentiometric titrations. In both cases only mon
onuclear complexes and their deprotonation products are formed. The qualita
tive and quantitative results obtained have been confirmed in part by UV-sp
ectrophotometry and H-1 NMR spectroscopy.
