Patients with secondary glaucoma associated with juvenile chronic iridocycl
itis are a high-risk group for failure of conventional filtering surgery. T
hey are young patients with very thin conjunctivae, with a history of chron
ic iritis and previous ocular surgery, and usually ha ve been on topical me
dications for glaucoma for many years. Our experience with the role of filt
ering surgery and intraoperative mitomycin-C in this rare group of patients
is presented.
